Wolf & Shepherd isn't your run-of-the-mill dress shoe company, they make dress shoes you can actually rock all day and practically do anything while wearing them. The idea is a running shoe with a classic Italian silhouette— shoes for the grown-up cozy boy. I was quite familiar with the brand prior to the shoot, so when the day finally came around to work together, I was beyond ready.
I'll never be one to pretend that I know what it's like to be a woman. Let alone a woman in the 1960's. Being the only male on set for Typical Mag's "A Broad Range" gave me a chance to reflect and empathize. What these ladies did was put a face to a struggle. They made it personal. In subtle ways we dehumanize those who aren't like us. Is everything peachy keen for woman in the present day? No. But the ladies I know make dope art that reminds us that they also have a place at the table...and might even stand on it.
An overcast day is a photographer's playground. Luckily for me, Yvonne + Charles got married at the peak of LA's June gloom season. Charles loves this woman. Yvonne loves this man. And it's evident. This is the day they made it official.
Thanks for having me, Mr. & Mrs. Jones!
And a very special thanks to Jasmine for second shooting with me!
Before Cynthia, Carlos and myself went out for our session, we consumed coffee by what felt like the ton. We were caffeine-buzzing for sure. You'll see.
Below are the engagement photos of some of the classiest people I know. I'm excited for their union to be official in April.
I took pictures of my wife before she left the house every morning this week. "Stand in front of the garage, Jessi."
Peter, his brother, his best friend and Laura's sisters pulled off an evil proposal scheme. Here are the photos.
Whitney is my go-to second shooter. Recently, her husband Bryan got the news that his job would be taking them to the Bay. To celebrate the occasion we made art in the rain.
Below are photos from that one time I went to Yosemite and did bro things with some bros.
These two are getting married in March, so I took their pictures.
